Gathapraya

Hello guys, welcome back to my blog.
Today, I want to tell you about one of my school's biggest event, Gathapraya.

Gathapraya is a literaty and cultural festival held by National High School 3 Bandung.
The Cultural Festival is held every year, but every year the name of this event changes. Three years ago, the name is Matswapati. Two years ago, the name is Gamarvani. Last year, the name is Megantara. This year, the name is Gathapraya.

Gathapraya was held on September 30th 2017 at Bali Field. The event started at 08.00 begins with parade. For grade 10, this parade is required. We have to wear kebaya or pangsi, traditional cloth of West Java. This parade route itself starts from the Saparua Park and ends on the Bali Field. The parade was accompanied by traditional music, and the participants came from talented children dancing traditional dance, 10th grade holding gathapraya banners, some students wearing traditional clothes on horseback, and many more. This parade seized the attention of many people so quite disturbing the flow of traffic.

Gathapraya can be entered from 12.00 PM. The event was opened by singing national songs. After singing national songs, two representative of each class had a fashion show. After that, Band3 and MK3 from SMAN 3 performed. After that, there were perform from OSD ITB, Soul Etnic, and Giri Harja. The extracurricular collaboration of MK 3, KPA (angklung), and gamelan rendition performed at 03.00 PM. After that, Tiloe’s Theater had an amazing performance.

After Maghrib, we started to see amazing performance  from a local dancer who's famous internationally, Didi Nini Thowok. Then, we saw the perform from Sand Painter, Vina Chandrawati.

In the end of the event, HiVi was performed. Their songs make us feel like we can forget all of our stress. After that, the show was closed with a spectacular performance from Nidji. All of we dance, sang, and jump, enjoying the rithym of musics.

Gathapraya was amazing. Audiences were very hyped and they all participated in cheering the performers up! I love Gathapraya.
